How do you feel today?
It feels surreal as if I managed a person who had Cancer.
Since the diagnosis, what has changed in your life?
The small moments are cherished. Kindness does not go unnoticed but everyday I am scared that it will come back elsewhere.
What is going well for you right now?
I'm still here. Trying not to take these days for granted.
What has been the most challenging thing about having cancer?
The utter solitude. While others may experience it - no one is walking in your shoes.
When difficulties overwhelm you, where do you go for support?
My husband and my faith.
How have your long-term goals or life goals changed since diagnosis?
I am no longer afraid to plan long-term but immediate reaction was to stop all things because tomorrow was not promised.
What is your work arrangement right now? What are your hours?
Working remote and full-time.
Since the diagnosis, what has changed in your work life?
I'm transparent about appointments and my need to prioritize my life over work.
What advice do you have for others trying to work through treatment?
Enjoy the little things.
