Hi,
I have worked successfully as an office temp (admin and reception) in three different countries over the course of the last 8-10 years.
I'm recovering from a bone marrow transplant and have a compromised immune system. As a result, I can't commute into work but would love to start working again.
Do you know of any good work from home resources?
Thanks,
Luisa

Hi Luisa,
Thanks for writing to us. The flexible work resource that we most often refer people to is Flexjobs: http://www.flexjobs.com/. They are a great resource for finding telecommuting work options and all of the jobs listed on their site are hand screened and legitimate. The service is subscription based, but if you enter the code CANCER at the checkout you will receive a 50% discount.
I would also recommend checking out an article written by our career coach Kathy Flora, which discusses her own experience working from home, as well as listing out a number of other work from home resources: http://www.cancerandcareers.org/career-coach/so-you-want-to-work-from-home
Our Job Search Toolkit (which can be ordered or downloaded for free online here: http://www.cancerandcareers.org/publication_orders/new) also has information and resources on working from home.
I hope that this is helpful, please let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Sarah, Manager of Programs, Cancer and Careers
