I am a breast cancer survivor and would like the opportunity to work from home if that is possible. I am an employee of Vanderbilt Cancer Center in Nashville (regulatory) and would like to find something in this field, however I am not adverse to a career change. I'm still on Long term Disability and S.S. Disability due to complication from chemotherapy. Any information as to where I might search for positions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Cancer and Careers Staff Comment:
Hi Pam,
We've actually come across a number of resources over the years regarding working from home. If you haven't already, I recommend checking out this article that talks about working from home and some sites that have these job listings: http://www.cancerandcareers.org/career-coach/so-you-want-to-work-from-home. You might also want to check out www.ratracerebellion.com
We've also done some blogs on this in the past with tips on how to get started, including here: http://www.cancerandcareers.org/blog/yes-you-can-work-from-home.
We also have a partnership with flexjobs.com offering a 50% discount using the code CANCER, they list many work from home opportunities (which you can search for without paying - once you pay you will see info on applying for the positions): http://www.cancerandcareers.org/blog/finding-a-flexible-job-after-c
There are also some great books out there, including Will Work From Home by Tory Johnson.
And don't neglect your LinkedIn profile, more and more employers these days are recruiting on the site, and you can find many job listings there.
I hope this is enough of a jump to get you started, and keep us updated on your progress!
Best,
Alice
