Dear Career Coach:
I was wondering if there is a place on the Cancer and Careers website to post my cover letter and resume for potential employers.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Barbara Roach

Hi Barbara,
Thank you so much for writing to us! Because the CAC website is not a job board, we do not have an area to post your resume and cover letter. Websites you might look at for that kind of service are LinkedIn, monster.com, careerbuilder.com idealist.org, etc. If you would like feedback on your resume we do have a free resume review service you can submit it to (http://www.cancerandcareers.org/resume_reviews/new) and we also have a lot if info on the job search process that can be found here: http://www.cancerandcareers.org/en/looking-for-work.
Good luck in your search!
Best,
Rebecca

I am 63 and have been out of work for tow years. I took early retirement and then learned I had cancer and now am on SS Disability, I was diagnosed with stage IV Ovarian Cancer in July, 2013.
I have completed 5 months of chemo and have had two surgeries. I feel good and my doctors say I can return to work although I will have monthly follow ups.
My question is, can't I just bridge the work gaps by saying I retired and want to return to work because of the economy?
Thank you,
Susan
