Hello, I have successfully written a few grant applications for myself (for cancer-related charities). I'm wondering how I can highlight this skill on my resume. I have a bit of other professional writing experience, a great deal of professional grant review and grant management experience, and a tiny bit of professional grant writing experience (writing pieces of application but not the whole thing). Grant writing is not my focus but I would like to include it as a skill and perhaps in the future would want to freelance on the side. I do have a profile on my resume, but I'm not sure how best to capture this skill that has been used for non-professional purposes and how to describe it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Jackie

Hi Jackie,
I believe I reviewed your resume!
You can add grant writing to your keywords section on your resume and I would also add it in your profile/summary as part of a sentence that talks about your other skills and experiences.
Also, I would add it to your volunteer service experience.
I hope this answers your question and if not, please do write back.
Happy holidays!
Take care,
Julie
