I think the idea of working multiple part-time jobs is fine in theory, but it's not practical for everyone. I am unable to work multiple part-time positions for health and financial reasons. I do not have the physical stamina to work multiple positions, and I can't earn enough money through this approach. I do not receive disability income, and I do not want this form of support. I also do not have friends or family who can help me. I prefer to work in one full-time position. Cancer survivors should have a right to pursue career options that align with their interests and needs. What works for one person may not work for another. I have had some colleagues and managers suggest that I don't deserve to work if I have cancer. I think their attitudes are hostile, not to mention prejudiced. I certainly hope that I encounter more open-minded employers soon.
