I am a Junior in college so far majoring in Psychology. I plan on going to grad school. I have changed my major so many times and originally wanted to become a nurse but the coursework was difficult for me. What I do know is from day one I've always wanted a job where I am working with cancer patients and helping or inspiring in some way. I've done countless hours of research on potential careers like Occupational Therapy or an Oncology Social Worker. I just feel that there's a job out there that I haven't heard of and one day it will pop out at me and I'll just know that is what I am meant to do. If anyone has any suggestions please reach out to me. Thank you.

Cancer and Careers Staff Comment:
Hi Jianna,
Our resources are actually for cancer patients and survivors, we do have information for oncology nurses and social workers to help them educate their patients, but we don't really have resources for people who are looking to go into nursing or social work. I would recommend checking out the following resources:
- American Cancer Society (they might have articles, blogs, etc. by different people who work in the cancer community that could give you some ideas): http://www.cancer.org/
- It sounds like you've done a lot of research on oncology nursing/social work jobs, but if you haven't already checked out the Association of Oncology Social Work (http://www.aosw.org/aosw/main/default.aspx) and the Oncology Nursing Society (https://www.ons.org/) those could be helpful resources as well.
I hope that this is helpful and best of luck!
Best,
Sarah, Manager of Programs, Cancer and Careers
