I would like to return to school in the Fall of 2016 for a master's in mental health counseling. Are there grants or scholarships that I can apply for to help fund the cost of the master's program? I am a breast cancer survivor for three years and also have a learning disability.

Hi Wendy,
Thanks for writing to us. That's wonderful that you want to go back for your master's degree. Here are some recommendations for financial assistance:
- SAMFund (supports young adult survivors as they recover from the financial impact of cancer): http://www.thesamfund.org/
- Professional Development Microgrants (these are smaller grants but worth checking out): http://www.cancerandcareers.org/en/micro-grants
- List of scholarships for survivors: http://www.finaid.org/scholarships/cancer.phtml
- Financial resources list: http://www.cancerandcareers.org/resources/categories/financial
I hope this is helpful, please let us know if you have any other questions.
Best of luck!

Is there any financial help after becoming a breast cancer survivor? It just destroys everything from you including financially and is there any breast cancer survivors modeling agencies and jobs out there for us so we can inspire ourselves as well as others?
