Job Search
I am 2 years out from treatment and continue to have some lingering cognitive issues. I took a part-time job about a year ago which has helped me come back somewhat but I'm still not certain on how much of my past work I can do now. I need to look for full time work but am finding it daunting. I'm hoping to find a career coach to help guide me through the process and kick me in the butt a bit but would like to find one who has some understanding of what I'm experiencing. Any suggestions on how to find the right coach?

Cancer and Careers Staff Comment:
Hello Donna,
Thank you for reaching out to Cancer and Careers. We have a number of volunteer career coaches who are familiar with the challenges that can come along with looking for work following a diagnosis and treatment. Is there a particular aspect that you've found daunting? I am happy to pass your question on to one of our coaches but would recommend that in the meantime you take a look at a few of the resources offered by CAC, as they might provide some more insight into next steps and alleviate some of the anxiety that comes with a job search following cancer:
Feel free to reach out with any further questions, or if you're interested in any additional materials.
Warm regards,
