Good hello!
I currently am undergoing a clinical trial for Stage Three Melanoma. I am receiving SSDI. Do I want/need a LinkedIN account for any reason?

Hi Clay,
Thanks for writing to us. You’ve asked a very important (and relevant) question. If you are planning to return to work in the future, it might be a good idea to consider creating a LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn has become the world’s largest professional networking site, with more than 450 members worldwide. It’s not only effective for networking purposes, but can be an incredibly important tool in the job search. Cancer patients and survivors might have to take special considerations into mind when developing a LinkedIn account though, such as issues around disclosure. Fortunately we have resources on our website to address those specific concerns. I recommend checking out the following:
If /when you do decide to return to work, we have many additional job search resources. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at cancerandcareers@cew.org or 646-929-8032.
Wishing you the best,
