I have a high stress job in sales. I want to find another stress free job but I'm afraid of losing my insurance. What is my best option?

Hi Pamela,
Thanks for reaching out. It's great that you're recognizing the need for a lower-stress job. My recommendation for finding another job that will provide you with the benefits (insurance) that you need, would be to do some research and information gathering on companies you're interested in, and roles that you think you'd want to apply for.
I'd encourage you to look at your current position and think about what you like about it and what causes the most stress. Then begin looking at open positions that encompass what you're interested in doing, what you feel up for, and what is in line with your skillset and experience. From there, see what companies are offering those positions and begin doing a little bit of digging on the companies themselves. Some great ways to find out information is using Glassdoor (www.glassdoor.com) as this site allows for current and former employees to review the company, specific positions, and the benefits offered. This can give you some more insight into what the company culture is like and what you can expect.
Additionally, you can use LinkedIn to connect with people in roles you are interested in, or who work for a company that you have your eye on. You can get a bit more insight first-hand and be in a better position to evaluate what would be best for you. Networking is a tool that can be really helpful for individuals looking for work after a cancer diagnosis, as it allows you to obtain some more specifc information.
