The LinkedIn official blog shared some great information in one of their posts at the end of last year, The 25 Hottest Skills That Got People Hired in 2013. They wanted to answer the questions, "Who is getting hired, and what are they doing?". To answer these questions they analyzed the skills and work history of more than 259 million LinkedIn users.
The top 10 skills of 2013 on LinkedIn were:
- Social Media Marketing
- Mobile Development
- Cloud and Distributed Computing
- Perl/Python/Ruby
- Statistical Analysis and Data Mining
- User Interface Design
- Digital and Online Marketing
- Recruiting
- Business Development/Relationship Management
- Retail Payment and Information Systems
