In the blink of an eye, we’ve already hosted 3/4 sessions of the Pregúntale a los Expertos’ series. On the most recent one, this past Tuesday, October 4th, José Pérez, Esq. joined us to discuss legal rights in the workplace after a cancer diagnosis. Jose responded to questions from the audience about topics such as working patient/survivor laws, disclosure requirements and reasonable accommodations.
Navigating the workplace, labor laws and cancer can feel overwhelming and complex. If you missed this session or are interested in learning more about these topics, CAC has resources to get you started:
- Your Legal Rights in the Workplace.
- Taking a Medical Leave of Absence.
- Requesting Reasonable Accommodations.
- Sharing the News.
- Finding Legal Assistance.
- And more!
We’re grateful for Jose and everyone who joined us for this conversation. Next week, on Tuesday, October 11th, you’ll have the opportunity to ask an expert mental health related questions live. On this final session, Dr. Nieves Cuervo will be speaking about balancing mental health and work demands. I can’t wait to learn more about this!
