On March 7th, Rebecca Nellis, VP of Programs & Strategy, and I set out into (somewhat) familiar territory - Texas! A sponsor for the Employment & Taking Time Off Work session at the Cancer Legal Resource Center's Cancer Rights Conference, we were thrilled to be able to connect with such an engaged and dynamic group of patients, survivors and healthcare professionals in a live event format. We truly embrace these opportunities where we connect with live audiences, especially since we're a national organization based in NYC - it's so nice to be right in the heart of a community.

When people say that everything is bigger in Texas, they really mean it. Armed with some insider knowledge, Rebecca and I enjoyed a pre-event dinner at Pappacito's Cantina, complete with the largest and most delicious bowl of table-side guacamole two New Yorkers could ever ask for.
