Just like our National Conference held each year in NYC, the Midwest Conference on Work & Cancer will be a full-day, free event that will explore the challenges working people face as they try to balance their cancer treatment, recovery and survivorship with employment. The event will take place at the Hotel Monaco, located at 225 N. Wabash in Chicago, IL.
Key topics we'll be covering during the day that are truly essential pieces of the work and cancer conversation are:
- Legal Issues
- Health Insurance and Reform
- Working During Treatment
- Job Re-entry
- Job Search
- Taking Time Off
We're also really excited about the rock star community partners we're working with - Gilda's Club Chicago, Sisters Network, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Registration is now open for the Midwest Conference on Work & Cancer. For more info on the agenda and free CEUs for oncology nurses and social workers, please click here.
