Hello! My name is Chrissy Brennan, and I’m thrilled to be joining Cancer and Careers as its new Associate Director of Programs. And what a time to start – just as the countdown begins to Cancer and Careers’ 4th annual National Conference on Work & Cancer. This year’s conference is being held Friday, June 13, in New York City. Needless to say, the office is buzzing this week, as the final elements are put in place for the big event. With a background in communications, event planning and PR/marketing, I already feel right at home here!

One of my first jobs out of college was as a copy editor at SELF magazine, just a few blocks from Cancer and Careers’ office in Midtown Manhattan. Now SELF is a generous sponsor of Cancer and Careers – in particular, of our Beauty of Caring events. So in a way, it feels like things have come full circle for me.

I’m really looking forward to working with the dedicated team at Cancer and Careers on providing valuable, relevant programming for all those who are managing cancer treatment in addition to their jobs.
