Cancer and Careers is excited to introduce two of our newest members: Michael Corrente and Leticia Bennett. Together, they bring nearly 40 years of experience in development, marketing and events.
Well, I guess I’m up first! My name is Michael and I couldn’t be happier to join Cancer and Careers as Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships. In my role, I oversee an amazing development team that works collaboratively to raise essential funds from our community of donors and sponsors to support the life-changing programs of Cancer and Careers. I have been extremely lucky throughout my career in fundraising to work for some truly great organizations, such as the Ms. Foundation for Women and Gay Men’s Health Crisis; but the focus and niche of CAC is one-of-a-kind, and I’m excited to dive into the work. I recently moved home to NYC after spending three years in Boston, and when not working, I love spending time with my dog (a basset hound–mix rescue from Tennessee), traveling, live music and camping.
Hey, everyone! My name is Leticia and I am thrilled to join Cancer and Careers as Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships. As part of this amazing team, I cultivate relationships with current supporters and prospect new ones to help fund our incredible services and programs. I also collaborate with sponsors by developing cause marketing campaigns to encourage their customers to give back while purchasing their favorite items. I truly enjoy working in development because it allows me to be creative in collaborating with diverse partners who want to make a difference in the world. I am excited about bringing this same enthusiasm to CAC, whose mission is near and dear to my heart, since I have watched loved ones work while going through cancer treatment. To me, they are the real MVPs! When I’m not crusading for a better world, I enjoy traveling, watching my favorite sports teams (sometimes) win, dancing like there’s no tomorrow, and binging on my favorite shows like Game of Thrones, Scandal and The Good Place.
We’d love to get to know the CAC community better — please feel free to reach out!
