Hello! My name is Cristian Gomez, my pronouns are he/him/his, and I am excited to be an Intern at Cancer and Careers this summer! I am proud to be a graduate from Lehigh University with a major in Population Health and a minor in Business. My recent experience includes research with my Epidemiology professor, tutoring, and being a local camp supervisor in my hometown Queens. 

I was drawn to Cancer and Careers because their mission related to the challenges my mother is enduring with her recovery from bladder cancer. This experience ignited my newfound passion for helping communities that are recovering from chronic disease, especially in the New York region. I am overly excited to work with such a talented and passionate team at CAC and I hope to contribute during my time here. 

Besides my love for supporting health communities, I like to play soccer and basketball and spend time with my family. I like greenspace and find the health impacts of being outside in my mom’s garden to be satisfying. 

I know I will gain a lot of experience here at CAC and I will grow tremendously with their great guidance!
