Hi, everyone! My name is Scott, my pronouns are he/him/his, and I am Cancer and Careers’ new Senior Manager of Programs. I am so excited to join this wonderful team and help fulfill this mission. While I am new to this position, I am not new to the organization. I have spent the past three and a half years working for CAC’s sister organization, CEW, and I have served on the Young Professionals Committee since 2019. I instantly connected to the mission of CAC when I started working at CEW, and I’m glad to have the chance now to support this community full-time. At CAC I am handling communications across different platforms, including social media, website and press. You will see me soon on the Balancing Work & Cancer webinar series, which I will be managing as well.
I grew up about an hour north of NYC and spent six years living in Boston for college and a few more years after I graduated. In 2012 I moved back to NY, where I worked for five years on the production side of Broadway shows, including Kinky Boots and Evita. I still try to see as much theater as I can (COVID really has put a damper on that but I’m glad that Broadway is back!). In my other free time, I watch far too much TV, try to see every Oscar film each year and am a member of MoMA. If you need a recommendation on what to watch, I’ve got something for you!
I’m excited to meet more of you soon. Thank you to the entire CAC team for making me feel so welcome and supported.
