About two months ago, I blogged about the release of a wonderful new CAC video, How To Maintain Focus at Work. We met Jennifer, a marketing professional who was faced with cognitive challenges upon returning to her job after taking time off for treatment for ovarian cancer. It brings me great excitement to share the new of the release of the last two videos of this animated short series, How to Write an Amazing Resume and How to Ace the Interview. Made possible through a generous grant from the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund, the How-To series offers practical advice and tools to help people thrive in the workplace amidst challenges they may face living with cancer - challenges like maintaining focus, interviewing and addressing a resume gap that we hear about quite often at CAC from patients, survivors and healthcare professionals.
In the last two videos, we meet Rob and Michelle. Michelle, preparing for her first job interview in quite some time, is balancing re-entering the workforce since taking time off for colon cancer treatment. Meanwhile, Rob, who's been in and out of work for three years while balancing his career and treatment, needs to craft an effective resume while minding the gaps in his work history.
The Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund's mission is to raise awareness and fund educational efforts that will help diagnose, treat and support women with ovarian cancer. Click here for more information on the organization.
