One of the great things about having CAC staff in multiple locations is, if there’s a monster snowstorm in one city (like there was last week in New York), someone on the CAC team can still get to our events around the country! This past Wednesday, January 12th, I traveled to Houston for our Balancing Cancer and Careers seminar at The Houston Marriott at Texas Medical Center. It was an interesting night as panelists and participants discussed issues related to employment law, the benefits of working through treatment and practical suggestions for the workplace. And I was delighted to see some familiar faces from MD Anderson in the audience as well.
