Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the public service program Look Good...Feel Better has helped more than one million cancer patients across the globe cope with the cosmetic fallouts of the disease. Two-hour group workshops at hospitals and cancer centers led by experts help patients style their hair, care for their skin, apply flattering makeup and restore confidence. One-on-one instruction from cosmetologists is available, too. 

In recent years, Look Good …Feel Better www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org has expanded to include men and teens and has translated its materials into Spanish. It's also teamed with CVS Pharmacy to educate in-store beauty advisors and to make program information available in some CVS stores across the country. This year, there's even more for cancer patients: you're invited to submit your story of hope, courage and determination from now until Aug. 15 for a chance to win a trip to New York for a makeover and a spin on the dance floor at the organization's annual Dream Ball Sept. 24.
