Giuliana Rancic, E! News Host, announced that she was fighting breast cancer last fall.  As we hear from so many other survivors, work has been a great distraction for her as she undergoes treatment. In fact, she returned to work directly after undergoing a double mastectomy.  As this article so aptly mentions, most of us aren't even strong enough to get back to work after a sinus infection.

According to Rancic: "work is such a great distraction…it just makes everything fly by…so it makes me not think about stuff." We see many other similar comments to this in our online collective diary, where men and women who are currently undergoing treatment, are long-term survivors, or anywhere in between are able to share their work and cancer stories and read others.  A recent user told us "Thank you so much for this oh so informative website. Just reading others diaries helps so much...it is so comforting to know that others are fighting the same battles".
