It’s that time of year — when the focus at Cancer and Careers begins to turn more intensely toward our annual National Conference on Work & Cancer.
Given that this is our signature event, we’re actually thinking about and planning for our National Conference all year long. But come springtime, as soon as we’ve officially wrapped up our Midwest Conference in Chicago, the next big thing for the CAC team is our June event in New York City.
This year will be our sixth National Conference, and it’s on track to being our biggest one yet. As of the date of this blog post (April 11), the number of registrants for the conference is more than 50% higher than it was this time last year. And we still have two months to go!
In addition to our core content — which covers everything from disclosure and deciding whether to work through treatment, to legal & financial issues and job re-entry/job search — the 2016 conference will feature new sessions and speakers (e.g., on body image/self-confidence and nutrition) as well as popular topics from our Balancing Work & Cancer webinar series, including how to manage long-term stress.

Then join us on Friday, June 17, for a day filled with engaging, interactive presentations; helpful resources & material; and opportunities to meet and network with others in the community.
We hope to see you there!
