If you wanted to attend The Colon Cancer Alliance’s conference, “Family Matters: What Every Family Needs to Know,” in Denver, Colorado from June 23-25, 2011, but couldn’t swing it financially, you have one week left to apply for full or partial scholarships. The event brings together experts from throughout the nation covering a wide range of topics such as genetic risks, designing a treatment plan, advanced disease treatment options and tips for living with colon cancer.

Yours truly will be speaking with the Cancer Legal Resource Center on employment and legal issues for those living with colorectal cancer. I’ll share tips on when to disclose a diagnosis to employers, explaining employment gaps to potential employers and practical tips for combining work and treatment. Hope to see you there!
