On Friday, June 23, 2017, Cancer and Careers will host our 7th annual National Conference on Work & Cancer, at the CUNY Graduate Center, in New York City. Following the tremendous success of our 2016 Conference (click here to check out the sizzle reel), we’re looking forward to once again spending the day with a diverse audience of survivors, healthcare professionals, employers and supporters from across the U.S., as well as 11 expert speakers from the fields of oncology, law, employment and more.
We’re particularly excited to be debuting two new sessions this year: Using Social Media to Tell Your Best Story, presented by Archie Smart, Executive Vice President of Qovis MSLGROUP (an international PR & communications firm), will provide tips on how social media can be used to build a positive online brand. And if you’re looking for strategies and ideas to help you build connections through networking — a key component of a successful job search — you may want to attend Networking: Tips & Techniques for Developing Relationships, presented by Career Coach and Author Julie Jansen.
As always, we’ll also have a wide range of relevant return sessions, on everything from body image & self-confidence to health insurance options. Click here to view the full Conference agenda.
Registration is filling up fast! To reserve your spot, visit www.cancerandcareers.org/conference.
And, in addition to the extensive CAC materials (and fabulous gift bag) to take home with you, you’ll also be able to stop by our Sponsor and Community Partner tables to learn even more about programs and services in the cancer community!
