Cancer and Careers is gearing up to host its first-ever West Coast Conference on Work & Cancer this fall. Though we’ve been delivering in-person presentations, workshops, seminars, and in-service trainings throughout the country for years — in addition to a host of online webinars — we’re now expanding our regional conference program westward.
On Friday, November 13, CAC will present a free day-long conference focusing on issues related to the intersection of work and cancer, at The Center at Cathedral Plaza, in L.A. Given the success of our second Midwest Conference in Chicago last spring and our ever-growing annual National Conference in NYC, launched in 2010, we’re eager to bring the same important, comprehensive content, tools, and resources to patients, survivors, healthcare providers, caregivers and employers in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
Among the topics our expert presenters will cover are health insurance, disclosure, legal issues, working through treatment and job re-entry. For details, including the complete agenda and information on free CE contact hours for healthcare professionals, click here.
This important event wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for our generous sponsors — Genentech, QVC and Novartis Oncology — all of whom supported our Midwest Conference as well.
Registration is open and spots are filling up. So if you’re interested in attending, be sure to sign up! And please help us spread the word.
We look forward to seeing in you in the City of Angels!
