Last year, "QVC and CEW Present Beauty with Benefits" premiered with the message that a little makeup and make a big difference, and it sure did! Not only did it allow us to provide new programs, but the passion, excitement, and love carried into this year's event and provided an even more spectacular show!
During the two-hour show, nearly every product sold out, but the excitement and emotion didn't stop there! Our wonderful donors shared their stories and emotions of how cancer has touched their lives and their passion for our mission here at Cancer and Careers. Our dear friend, Tara, even shared her story of how Cancer and Careers empowered her to look for a job again after cancer!
This sparked a lot of interest among viewers of how they can manage their own careers while dealing with cancer. Our career coach, Julie Jansen, also joined us for the show, sharing career advice for cancer patients and survivors on air and answering viewers questions on the host, Alberti Popaj's, blog! She has since been busy with lots of resumes to review through our free resume review service!
The excitement even spread throughout social media thanks to all of YOU who shared your beauty selfies with us using the hashtag #beautywithbenefits! Being able to raise awareness of all that Cancer and Careers offers, and putting faces to the heroes thriving through it, meant so much to all of us. Even celebrities like Cheryl Burke and Kendra Wilkinson shared their beauty selfies with us to support the cause!
