Did you know an employer is not allowed to ask about your medical
history, let alone if you have cancer? It's true! Your employer can only ask if you can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. And
they can only make you take a medical exam if everyone else in your job
category is required to do it as well. Not to mention that you can't be
turned down for a new job unless the results of this medical exam show
that you can't perform the essential functions of the position. For more information on Reasonable Accommodations in the Job Application Process, check out section I, C, 5 here: http://www.cancerlegalresourcecenter.org/documents/EMPLOYMENTRIGHTS.pdf
